Obama Gives Israel Way Too Much Love in Valentine's Day Budget
February 14th, 2011
Today--Valentine's
Day--President Obama sent his 2012 budget request to Congress. As we
anticipated, it includes a record-breaking request for $3.075 billion in military aid to Israel.
Given our $14 trillion debt and the fact
that Israel misuses U.S. military aid to commit systematic human rights
abuses against Palestinians, now is the time to end--not increase--military aid to Israel.
Because the President showed Israel way
too much love on Valentine's Day, we're hoping that you can
be our Valentine by "offsetting" the estimated $21.59 in weapons that the average taxpayer will give to Israel this year.
