How Much Do You Value Freedom?

Are you planning to visit family and friends today? To go fishing, picnic in your fields, or go sailing? As we celebrate this Independence Day, let's remember that even these simple pleasures are denied to Palestinians. Israel has trampled on their most fundamental freedoms for more than 60 years, with active military and diplomatic support by our government.

More and more people in the United States are opposing our government's policy toward Palestine-Israel and demanding an end to U.S. aid until Israel upholds international law.

Indeed, dozens of brave U.S. citizens are among this week's multinational flotilla seeking to break the collective punishment Israel has imposed on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and to challenge its completely illegal blockade of Gaza's waters. Read our action alert to find out how you can help them.

In contrast to these brave "Freedom Riders," the U.S. administration has supported Israel as it pressures government after government to deny passage for the Freedom Flotilla II.  The State Department has gone as far as claiming that passengers on the U.S. Boat to Gaza could be engaged in illegal activity. Find out about the latest developments, including how you can take steps to release Captain John Klusmire and the U.S. Boat to Gaza.

Israel is the largest recipient of U.S. military aid: We send across more than $3 billion each year in military aid, weapons that are misused to crack down lethally upon legitimate nonviolent Palestinian aspirations for freedom.

Offset your taxesDo you know how much military aid your community sends to Israel? You can find out by clicking here. Curious what weapons your tax dollars pay for? Find out by clicking here.

One thing is for sure: Your taxes support Israel's denial of freedom to Palestinians. The average U.S. taxpayer is giving Israel $21 in weapons this year alone.

Offset those taxes today by making a donation to the US Campaign. We don't use your money to support Israel's lawbreaking and illegal activity. We use it to strengthen the largest-ever U.S. coalition working for a just and peaceful resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict grounded in international law, human rights and equality.
