Our Staff
The US Campaign started in 2002 with a staff of one. We have grown into a professional, full-time team of four, dedicated to managing all aspects of the organization and growing and supporting our coalition nationwide.
Anna Baltzer, National OrganizerAnna is an award-winning lecturer, author, and activist for Palestinian human rights. Baltzer has appeared on television more than 100 times (including
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) and lectured at more than 500 universities, schools, churches, mosques, synagogues, and policy institutes around the world with her acclaimed presentation,
"Life in Occupied Palestine: Eyewitness Stories & Photos," and her full-color book:
Witness in Palestine: A Jewish American Woman in the Occupied Territories. Both her DVD and her book are
available in our store. She is co-founder of US Campaign member group, the
St. Louis Palestine Solidarity Committee.
Mike Coogan, Legislative Coordinator, Manager of Finance & Administration
Mike joined the US Campaign after spending eight months volunteering as an English and photography teacher in Palestinian refugee camps. He holds a undergraduate degree in Political Science from University of Portland, in Oregon. Mike has been with the US Campaign since 2009, starting out as an intern, and now working full-time on a range of issues.
Ramah Kudaimi, Membership and Outreach Coordinator
Ramah has worked at several grassroots activist organizations including CODEPINK, the Washington Peace Center, and the Arab American Action Network. She has a Master of Arts degree in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University. Her writing has been published by Al Jazeera English, The Progressive, Truthout, and more.
Josh Ruebner, National Advocacy DirectorJosh is a former Analyst in Middle East Affairs at Congressional Research Service, a federal government agency providing Members of Congress with policy analysis. He holds a graduate degree in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC. Ruebner's analysis and commentary on U.S. policy toward the Middle East appear frequently in media such as NBC, ABC Nightline, CSPAN, Al Jazeera, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, The Hill, Detroit Free Press, Huffington Post, Middle East Report, and more. He is the author of the upcoming book tentatively entitled Shattered Hopes: Obama and the Quest for Israeli-Palestinian Peace (Verso Books, 2013).
