Did You See Our Full-Page Ad in Roll Call?
During the ten days prior to President Obama’s inauguration, Israel killed four Palestinian civilians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including 17-year-old Samir Ahmad Abdul-Rahim in the West Bank village of Budrus. Israeli troops shot Samir with four live bullets to his head, chest and legs.
This is why we campaign to end U.S. military aid to Israel. Our tax dollars and our weapons are being used by Israel—in violation of U.S. law—to commit atrocities against Palestinian civilians living under Israeli military occupation.
Thanks to many dedicated volunteers and generous donors like you, we helped put the issue of ending U.S. military aid to Israel front and center at the outset of President Obama’s second term.

On Monday—Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Inauguration Day—dozens of volunteers distributed thousands of flyers and postcards on the National Mall calling on President Obama to honor Dr. King’s message of nonviolence and opposition to militarism by ending U.S. military aid to Israel.
And on Tuesday, we placed this full-page ad with Jewish Voice for Peace in Roll Call, a premier inside-the-Beltway publication read by thousands of Members of Congress, their staffs and Executive Branch employees—calling on President Obama to hold Israel accountable for misusing U.S. weapons to commit human rights abuses of Palestinians.

Now we’re building on this momentum to organize a four-day series of events—Expose AIPAC—with member groups Interfaith Peace-Builders and CODEPINK from March 2-5. Join us in Washington, D.C. for a skills-building grassroots advocacy training day, a mobilization and street protests, and a grassroots lobbying day on Capitol Hill as we confront and counter the agenda of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) for ever-increasing amounts of U.S. military aid to Israel.
We've got a lot more planned over the next few months to increase the visibility and effectiveness of our campaign to end U.S. military aid to Israel. Stay tuned for some exciting announcements in the near future.
Thank you for working with us to end U.S. military aid to Israel.
Sincerely,
