JUNE 10: The World Says No to Israeli Occupation!


National rally and march to protest U.S. support for Israel's military occupation

WHO: US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, United for Peace and Justice, 275+ supporting organizations, and thousands of supporters.

 Washington, D.C. (May, 25) - The US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation and United for Peace and Justice will sponsor a national demonstration on Sunday, June 10 kicking off with a rally at 2:00PM on the West Lawn of the Capitol, followed by a 4:00PM march to the White House.

The historic mobilization is being organized by the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation and United for Peace and Justice to protest the 40th anniversary of the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights. More than 275 organizations nationwide have endorsed the mobilization. Thousands of expected protesters will call for:

* An end to U.S. military, economic, diplomatic, and corporate support for Israel's illegal military occupation of the Palestinian West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem.

* A change is U.S. policy to one the supports a just peace between Palestinians and Israelis based on equality, human rights and international law, and the full implementation of all relevant U.N. resolutions.

The US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation is a national coalition of more than 250 organizations working to end U.S. support for Israel's military occupation. United for Peace and Justice is the country's largest anti-war coalition, composed of more than 1,400 organizations, working to end the U.S. war on and occupation of Iraq.
