Building Your BDS Campaign

by Ramah Kudaimi, Membership and Outreach Coordinator
June 19th, 2013

We are overjoyed by all the amazing BDS (boycott, divestment, sanctions) campaigns that member groups are engaged in across the country. From mobilizing to pressure stores to stop selling SodaStream to organizing against local Veolia contracts to passing campus and church divestment resolutions, BDS is flourishing in the United States- and it is due to the efforts of member groups across the country.

Do you want to learn more about BDS and how you can build and sustain effective BDS campaigns? Join us on Tuesday, June 25 at 8:30pm EDT/5:30pm PDT for a 90-minute member group-only BDS training to learn about how you can continue building your local campaigns with National Organizer Anna Baltzer

The training will include:

  • Brief introduction to BDS, including: its components, origins, significance, and goals
  • Some of the movementís most successful and compelling campaigns so far
  • Nuts and bolts of building a campaign, including: picking your target, building a coalition, escalating tactics, and sustaining your campaign
  • Ways in which the US Campaign can support your BDS work!

RSVP here to join us on June 25.

Also check out this new flyer we have developed explaining what BDS is and highlighting the most widespread member group campaigns.
