10 Reasons to Attend Our Conference

Won't You Join Us as We Continue Our Work for Palestinian Rights?

We're less than six weeks away from our 12th Annual National Organizers' Conference September 20-22, 2013 at George Mason University. We're busy preparing and putting together the program, and we hope you're busy making plans to attend!

If you still need some convincing about why you should register, below are 10 reasons you really need to be there.

Build up your local campaigns by attending workshops organized by our member groups. Check out the workshops lined up so far!

Connect with the US Campaign staff and Steering Committee. We would love to meet you in person!

Our list of speakers and presenters includes Riham Barghouti from the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel; human rights attorney and activist Noura Erakat; UCLA professor Robin D. G. Kelley; Brad Parker from Defence for Children International-Palestine; and many more.

Network with activists working for Palestinian rights from across the country and get ideas about how you can strengthen your work back home.

Learn how you can build solidarity with other movements for social justice and engage in joint struggle campaigns. Our Sunday agenda includes a panel on "Building Solidarity Across Black, Native American, and Palestinian Struggles."

Honor an activist for their astounding work for peace and justice with the Damu Smith Memorial Activist Award. Damu was an internationally renowned activist and supporter of Palestinian rights. This year's winner is Rev. Michael Yoshii, founding member of United Methodist Kairos Response and Friends of Wadi Fouquin.

Our National Advocacy Director Josh Ruebner will sign your copy of his new book Shattered Hopes: Obama's Failure to Broker Israeli-Palestinian Peace

Be inspired by experiencing the work of the US Campaign coalition of more than 400 member groups to end U.S. institutional support for Israeli occupation and apartheid.

Celebrate all the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) victories and successes of the past nine years.

This September marks 20 years since the signing of the Oslo Accords. The "peace process" has brought no peace and instead has allowed Israel to continue its oppression of Palestinians with full U.S. backing. With the failure of the U.S. government and international community to hold Israel accountable for its actions, it is our duty to support Palestinians in their struggle for freedom, equality, and justice. Attend our conference and help us expand our coalition's work for Palestinian rights.

The program will begin Friday, September 20 at 7:30pm and end by 4:30pm on Sunday, September 22. Early registration rate of $89 will end August 23 so register now

Looking forward to meeting you in person!

P.S.--Even though we would really love for you to attend, if you know for sure you cannot make it, please consider making a donation. Your support will help us offer more workshop slots, provide more students and other activists with reduced registration, and mobilize more people to change U.S. policy.
