Join 3/18 Briefing on Efforts to End JNF's Role in Ongoing Nakba

Since its founding in 1901, the Jewish National Fund (JNF) has been committed to acquiring and developing land for use only by Jews in Palestine/Israel. It has played a key role in the ongoing colonization and displacement of Palestinians from their land and helping hide Israel's ethnic cleansing of Palestinians through building forests and parks.

The JNF has planted more than fifty forests over hundreds of destroyed Palestinian villages in the name of environmentalism. One of its latest "development" projects is its $600 million "Blueprint Negev" campaign to settle a quarter million U.S. Jews on land confiscated from Palestinian Bedouins in the south of Israel. The proposed Prawer Plan by the Israeli government to forcibly displace about 30,000 Palestinian Bedouins from al-Naqab supports the plans of the JNF to ensure that the area has a majority Jewish population.

The JNF enjoys tax-exempt status as a charitable organization in 50 countries, including in the United States all 50 U.S. states, even though the reality of its work- supporting the ongoing Nakba, Israelís ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestine- is anything but charitable.

Want to learn more about the Stop the JNF Campaign and how you can get involved? Join a national online briefing on Tuesday, March 18 at 8:30pm EDT/5:30pm PDT with the Stop the JNF Campaign organized by member group International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network (IJAN) and sponsored by Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA) and US Palestinian Community Network (USPCN).

Since 2009 the Stop the JNF Campaign has been working to educate people about the impact the JNF has on Palestinians and revoke the charitable status of the JNF in countries worldwide. Register for this briefing to learn more about these efforts and see how you can get involved in the campaign.

In addition to registering for the briefing, you can also support the Stop the JNF Campaign by taking these two actions:

Sign this petition to the IRS to investigate and ultimately revoke the charitable status of the JNF on grounds that its activities are discriminatory and illegal.

Arrange a screening of the new documentary Enduring Roots: Over a Century of Resistance to the JNF. This 40-minute documentary by IJAN chronicles stories of al-Nakba survivors, interviews with their descendants about their right of return, and current and growing resistance to the ongoing colonization of Palestine by the JNF.
With Land Day, Yom al-Ard, approaching on March 30, which commemorates the 1976 killing by Israeli police of six young Palestinian citizens of Israel as they protested the Israeli government's seizure of Palestinian land, screening this documentary in your community is an opportunity to educate people about the role the JNF plays in the colonization of Palestinian land and to strengthen efforts to end all U.S. support for Israeli occupation and apartheid. Sign up here if you are interested and you will receive more information to help you arrange a screening.

Looking forward to having you join us next Tuesday!
