Via Dolorosa ("Way of Sorrow")
Sunday, June 13th 2004 7 pm
Columbia, Maryland

In a deeply compelling, personal, one-man play, David Bryan Jackson skillfully gives us multiple and diverse perspectives of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“'Via Dolorosa' is the result of the playwright’s travels and numerous conversations with politicians, artists, settlers and historians in the Middle East. Hare explores not only the landscapes, ideologies and emotions of the region, but his own values and beliefs, and those of Western civilization.” www.pbs.org

British actor David Bryan Jackson first performed Via Dolorosa in two successful runs at Washington D.C.’s Theatre J. He earned a 2002 Theatre Lobby Award in venues in Virginia and Maryland. His work as an actor and director has also been seen at Olney Theater Center, Rep Stage, and the Folger, Shakespeare, SCENA, Source and Studio Theaters.
