Palestinian Embroidery Project 4th Annual Holiday Craft Sale
Saturday, December 4th 2004
Bethesda, Maryland
This opportunity to purchase high-quality Palestinian crafts is made possible by the Palestinian Embroidery Project. The sales help provide income for Palestinian women in refugee camps and cooperatives in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Jordan. The sales also help educate Americans about the modern history of the Palestinian people and their cultural heritage. The Palestinian Embroidery Project works with refugee cooperatives supported by established nonprofit organizations, including the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the YWCA, SUNBULA (associated with St. Andrew's Scottish Presbyterian Church in Jerusalem) and American Near East Refugee
Aid (ANERA).
