Robi Damelin and Nadwa Saranda of The Parents’ Circle will be on a US speaking tour from May 16 - May 28. They will visit Washington DC, New York, the Kansas City, MO area, and California.

The Parents’ Circle includes hundreds of Israeli and Palestinian bereaved families who have lost family members as a result of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The co-sponsors of the tour are the Fellowship of Reconciliation’s Interfaith Peace-Builders (FOR IFPB) in Washington D.C. and the Resource Center for Nonviolence (RCNV) in Santa Cruz, CA

Chicago, Illinois: Prayer Service for Peace in the Middle East

The prayer service will continue to be held on the fifteenth of each month until a just and lasting peace is achieved in the Middle East. The service is part of an ecumenical effort in the US and the world to pray daily until peace comes to the region. The people in Illinois are encouraged to join this prayer vigil on the 15th of each month. Members of the Middle East Working Group for the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) will be available after the service to tell about their ongoing work for peace.
