On Monday, June 11,
approximately 300 grassroots lobbyists from more than 30 states filled the
halls of Congress to meet with their Representatives and Senators to demand an
end to US support for Israeli occupation; for the United States to hold Israel
accountable for its violations of the US Arms Export Control Act and Foreign
Assistance Act; to restrict the export of cluster bombs munitions to Israel and
other countries; and to call for the United States to appoint a special envoy
for Middle East peace.
