Major corporations in the United States benefit directly from Israel’s Occupation policies, and from our government’s unconditional support for those policies. Israel is the largest recipient of US military aid and a major market for arms producers such as Lockheed, Boeing, and Raytheon.
US companies must not do business as usual in support of the Occupation. The Corporate Task Force aims to end corporate support for the Occupation, starting with Caterpillar, whose bulldozers are used to demolish Palestinian homes or illegally construct Israeli housing and bypass roads in the Occupied Territories. Caterpillar sales and technical support enable Israel to engage in acts which are brutal, inhumane, and immoral, and which violate international law. The US Campaign has joined with many other organizations in endorsing a multi-faceted campaign to pressure Caterpillar.
- It is educating Americans, through the example of Caterpillar, about the need to change the role of our Government and US corporations.
- It is organizing to convince Caterpillar, through education, direct action, and political and economic pressure, if necessary, to discontinue all business with Israel until the Occupation is ended.
