Verso Books: “Hard-hitting critique of the Obama admin's failure in the Middle East”

I'm excited to let you know that my first book—Shattered Hopes: Obama's Failure to Broker Israeli-Palestinian Peace—is being published by Verso Books on Tuesday!

Nadia Hijab called Shattered Hopes “an essential contribution.” Phyllis Bennis wrote that the book is “A tour de force analysis of Obama's failed Middle East policy.” Bill Fletcher, Jr. termed it “a badly needed contribution to a discussion that is all too often suppressed in the mainstream media.”

You can get a sneak peek at the introduction and order your copy here

Tomorrow is the twentieth anniversary of Israel and the PLO signing the Oslo Accords, inaugurating the U.S.-dominated “peace process,” reconvened by the Obama administration this July. As President Obama continues the U.S. tradition of acting as “Israel's lawyer,” in the words of former “peace process” official Aaron David Miller, more than ever, Americans need to know that our government remains complicit in Israel's denial of Palestinian freedom, justice and equality.

That's why, beginning Sunday, I’ll be starting a fall book tour of at least 16 states! Check all confirmed event details here and please help spread the word. I've still got some openings in my schedule and I'm also beginning to book events for the winter and spring, so if your group is interested in organizing an event, please let us know.

Do you already have a copy of Shattered Hopes? If so, join the conversation on Verso Books' website or review it on Amazon,Barnes & Noble or your favorite online bookseller.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts about the book and to seeing many of you on the book tour.
